My name is Chad, I started White Elm Woodworks, LLC in 2026 with two things in mind. 

First, if I could sell a few items on Etsy in a month I would continue to make more. Very simple. 

The second, more importantly, is quite a bit deeper... Over the last few years, life has gotten extremely busy and a bit overwhelming at times. Maybe it's too much screen time, maybe it's not enough exercise, maybe it's the constant bombardment of information, maybe it's finances? Well, truthfully, it's likely a combination of all those things...   Woodworking has been my escape. Time spent in the shop makes me feel like I'm still moving in a positive direction and gives a great sense of fulfillment when a project is completed.  

When I spend time in the shop, my goal is to get better. Not just at the craft but also as a husband and father. I imagine this is generally a mutual feeling for other hobbyists as to why we do what we do. 

My mission at WEW is to show what has helped me to others, in hopes that they can find their calling.
